Bank Robbery in Burke Centre - Possible Barricade

Burke Centre Parkway around 10:40am saw 10+ FCPD and Sheriff vehicles driving high speed priority 1 toward 123. Noticed vehicles staging in front of the Kohl's shopping plaza with officers advancing on the Provident Bank with weapons drawn. FFX1 is in the air...police appear to be having people stay inside Kohl's.

Safe to guess that this is a robbery in progress with hostages?

Maybe this means they've finally got the guy who's been doing all the bank robberies.

I don't even know the point of taking a hostage, it's not as if they're going to let him get away.

Must be on foot...PD following tracks in the snow...might not be the best week to try something like this if you were looking to escape through the woods, especially if you are trailing dye pack residue.

FFX-1...fail...K9 units...fail...dye pack residue in a ruffled pillowcase on Oak Leather with no money and the remnants of a stocking mask. Sort of cool, however, listening to the scanner in the background as I work on this client presentation.

Thank God the dye bag is safe. That's the most important thing.

Planes took a break, but are back again. Was anyone hurt? Do they have a description of the suspect?

Bank Robbery in Burke
A 31-year-old Woodbridge woman working as a teller at the Provident bank, located at 5815 Burke Centre Parkway, was robbed. Two men entered the bank on Wednesday, March 4 shortly after 10.30 a.m. and announced a robbery. One suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and was not injured. The suspects fled on foot.

The suspect with the gun was described as black, in his 20s. He was about 6 feet tall, with a medium build and was wearing a black, hooded sweat shirt, a black vest and a black mask covering his face.

The second suspect was described as white, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a slender build. He was wearing a gray, hooded sweat shirt, blue cargo pants and a black mask covering his face.

Wonder if the two suspects knew the teller and prearranged this. Seems to be the style of bank robberies these days.

As the economy goes, expect crime to increase.

that just gave me a great idea! instead of locking them up, we should send criminals out to sea as pirates which will reverse global warming!
