He is not the owner and has nothing to do with it. Btw- it's packed day and night, obviously people love it. I think someone has a problem with how well they're doing.

Don't know the guy/people you are talking about, but the restaurant is very good. Our family has been there several times and have no complaints with the entrees. They also serve very good home-made pizza. Much superior to chain pizza stores.

The restaurant is not in an extremely violent area. We live in Mt. Vernon and go to the businesses along Route 1 all the time. Granted, we don't go at midnight, but I wouldn't go shopping ANYWHERE in NVa at midnight. Actually, I would probably be more afraid being on the street in Old Town Alexandria at midnight! I've lived in the Alexandria area (City and FFxCo) for over 40 years, so very familiar with it.

Did his family get to keep(hide) some of the loot? I'm still shocked that the fed
got him on some things unrelated to restaurants. Then again, stealing is stealing!

I was just looking on the Web to see if there were any coupons for this place. Never did I think I would find all this "extra" talk about a new pizza place. We went there once and the pizza was the best in the area. Before anyone comes to a conclusion about not going because of the talk on here just give the place a chance. You will be surprised how good it is. The servers were very nice as well.

I work there. There is no adopted Indian girl, and as far as I can tell it's a clean business. The food is awesome and everybody works really hard. So all the hatas need to chill and everybody should come get some awesome Greek food! mmm

Our family had dinner there tonight -- great service and food. The place was packed, as usual on a Friday night. Don't listen to the garbage posted about the restaurant, try it yourself!

Just recently ate here and had pizza. It sucked. How hard is it to make a pepperoni pizza? I stopped in because I know someone who works there and I decided to come by and try the food. Awful.

I am a regular customer at Mammas Kitchen and I have met the owners several times and they are Marianna & Kostas and little Aris. I am confused about these randoms names John, George being thrown around claiming they own this restaurant because whenever I come in all I see is Marianna.
The food is outstanding and anyone that reads this you have to come in and try their pizza and pasta. I go there at least 3 times /week and it has become my new favorite restaurant.

I am a regular customer at Mammas and know the owners very well and can say that John and George have no connection to this restaurant.
Its obvious people have a problem with someone being successful and working hard and not getting things handed to them or getting them the crooked way.
And the food is out of this world...........need to try everything at least once off the menu

I have been to Mama's Kitchen many times and the food is GREAT. I grew up on Rt. 1 and yes it used to be dangerous. Over the years they have cleaned it up and it is alot better than it used to be. i have met hte owners and almost worked there. They are very nice people.

ROFL my coworker told me about this thread. John is a fucking low life thief along with Khalil Salim Arbid...And its a fucking lie that the place is always full of patrons. Most of the die-hard shark club fans turned thier backs on the shitty family (according to another site with a similar thread).I was there yesterday to see if it was packed like a previous post stated...and i laughed in the hosts face when i saw that it was dead empty.
I don't really know who owns the restaurant, I thought it was a soul food place from the name, I was pleasantly surprised when I entered into the place to find a very warm and inviting family style restaurant, I've been back many times for the gyros and the pizza's and even the hummus is very good. The service has always been great and the pricing fair I hope it has a long life in the valley :-)

Wow, I can't believe people have this much time to waste. This is a family owned and operated restaurant. How is it that these people, with no lives, have turned it into the front page of the National Enquirer. I find it amusing that amongst all of the B.S. there is and always will be people who enjoy this establishment and what it has to offer. I agree with whoever said that these haters need to find something more productive to do. By the way, who is that hot greek guy in the kitchen? The food is delicious but the view is breathtaking.
