495 to Braddock Road

I don't understand the thinking behind the exit for Braddock road off of 495 coming from Alexandria. You have to immediately merge over to get in the exit lane, and 2 lanes immediately before the exit end so you have people merging from that side as well. Add in the rest of the people driving, and I don't see how this makes sense to minimize accidents.

They must have redesigned that exit since yesterday....

I am taking about when you are coming from Alexandria and merge on to 495 towards Tysons. You have to immediately get over, and the lanes from people previously on 495 have 2 right lanes that end right before the exit.
