As much as I enjoy the occasional trip to Tippy's, if you're seriously looking for tips on good Mexican food, these are the best in the area if you want real Mexican food:

1. La Mexicana Bakery & Taqueria off of Jeff Davis Highway

2. El Charrito Caminante in Arlington

These are outstanding places that cater to Mexicans and Mexican palates. Their food is incredible.

If you're not seeking authentic food, but are looking for a yuppie-friendly, but good Mexican restaurant? Oyamel in DC.

For a quick meal I love Cafe Rio in Burke. Way better than Chipotle. Meat is cooked better and the tortillas are excellent. Guapos in Fair Lakes is very good for a sit down meal.

Taco Bell in Woodbridge. Most authentic Mexican food you will find.

This place is amazing! Mainly in DC but they have a location on Lee Hwy in Arlington - yummy!
