Why is Centreville High looking for a girls soccer coach?

What happened to Gary Malebrache? He's been there a long time and took them to the state final this year. Just curious...

Not to rain on Cville's parade- getting to the state finals is always nice- but it was much easier this year than it was in the past due to restructuring. Cville went with a losing record. Gary, in all honesty, has consistently underachieved with tremendous talent throughout his years at Cville, and he is by far one of the least like coaches in the region. Perhaps some of these things came together to get him squeezed out.

Because the Coach is an immature loser who has lost with more talent than anyone in the area and would rather be the girls friend than their Coach. His behavior after the State finals through Social media got him fired and showed his lack of maturity and ability to lead a team.

The fact that he acted like an asshole after the game will surprise nobody in the region. Can you provide more details?

Yikes Westfield coach quit right before districts (drama) and Oakton coach 'resigned' after season (drama). Should be interesting with at least half the conference turning over.

Blessed with a lot of talent in many sports, underachieving teams and self centered coaches are common at Centreville.

oh who gives a shit. It's unfortunate for the honest souls out there but being a girls HS coach as a grown man is an automatic, glaring red flag. Could prove to be false, could be fucking spot on.
Adults caring about coaching changes like it's politics in some professional sports league are a little silly. Take a deep breath, pack a cooler with some beers in it to your kid's next high school game, and chill the fuck out. It'll all be irrelevant in a few short years.

he's still coaching kids in Centreville, so, yeah, it does matter to some parents as to why he was fired.

If it isn't football, no one cares at Centreville. They love coaches with a losing record, ask the lacrosse and basketball coaches. Jimmy just wants to promote the football team on eSpn and not care about the other sports.

By all accounts, Gary was not fired or forced out. He left of his own volition and informed the players and school in early July of his departure. There is no social media snafu or situation. Completely made up and unfounded. Just make a call and ask the school. I have always heard he is tremendously well liked and respected in the CVHS and SYA communities. Truth be told I was looking forward to having my daughters hopefully play for him at Centreville.

To question his ability to lead, discipline, or coach after a season he went to the state title game and had no goalie on the roster sounds curious even for an anonymous forum lol! You can downplay that run by saying they had a losing record but to keep a team together with no goalie and the adversity that comes with losing is astounding leadership!!! Just my 2 cents.

I was at the state championship game with my daughters. He was classy, gracious, and congratulatory of Battlefield after a gut wrenching loss in sudden death PKs.

Hey, NicholasS if you were at the state championship game you must have seen that there was 23 shots at goal and the cville goalie had 14 saves in regulation time. In fact, she saved the first 2 pk's so to imply that Centreville didn't have a goalkeeper is wrong. A field player who became the goalie after a devastating loss to Robinson may have been the turn around that helped lead the team to states in spite of the coaching. I have been watching high school soccer for 20 years, and I have never seen a turnaround as great as the Centreville Wildcats.
