Check It Paintball CLOSED

Drove by a few days ago and noticed the Chantilly location was closed. I used to play a lot in the mid-late 90s and worked at this shop.

Looks like Hogback Mountain is still open..

Anybody know what happened to Jim and Jack?

All is good with them, just came time to close the store. Retail is time consuming. It's been closed at least a year(?) now. Hogback still operates as its own entity, haven't been there in years.

I forgot about them!

It'd be nice if they sent out a postcard every 6 months reminding their past customers they are still in operation- if it were my business, I would! (your free marketing tip of the day).

haha brilliant marketing tip. Except when you have to collect everyone's address and pay postage for each one of the postcards. The same postcards everyone throws away the second they see them. Shit, email marketing is even dead.

It would of been nice if your customer ass would of visited their store more. Maybe they wouldn't of had to close.

Not sure about all the Pev's locations, they seem to be going towards the direction of family fun as opposed to staying hardcore paintball. Very few, if any, tournament teams play there anymore. This is not to blame Pev, the man's gotta make money and the birthday party/community events are what do it.

Pev's has a new(ish) field in Loudoun. It's a few miles south of 50 on Rt 15. Looks cool from the road and is tempting to another old time player. :)
