Snow days had little impact on sol scores

How is this meaningful? 180,000+ students in FCPS spent hours filling in circles, demonstrating how much they could regurgitate from the extensive test preparation mandated by the schools. How much does this tell us about what they can accomplish if given a complex task?
It is educational masturbation with no purpose. Ask your child how much they like these tests and the teaching-to-the-test that goes along with them.

Well, we had 11 snow days and my students' SOL test was postponed by a week. So we really only list 6 days of instruction. Considering we normally use 2-3 snow days a year, my students only lost about 3 days of instruction compared to a typical year. So it wouldn't surprise me if we saw no impact on the scores.
