You'd need to find a mom and pop storage space. That's why these mail boxes etc. places exist. A mom and pop mail place would be the best, they'd probably sign for stuff, not ask or answer questions if anyone came around asking.

Something tells me Fairfax City Storage is a good bet. You want a place that is not part of a chain, operated by the owner etc.

Public Storage for that reason probably won't work well at all.

The guy is not a 'stupid motherfucker' because he's perplexed by a request for an arrangement that sounds weird, at best, and that he might be concerned falls outside the scope of what he's allowed to do as the manager of a storage facility. You'd also have to involve the mailman in this scheme. Who knows if mail is even allowed to be delivered to storage facilities?

So you're asking two people to accommodate your arrangement and perhaps put their jobs on the line to make your life a smidgen easier and save a few bucks. And then you insult one of them. So typical of you, you entitled prick.

You realize that many of these places offer mail boxes/delivery services as part of their services right? It's really not a bizarre question for someone working in that industry.

First, of course storage places get mail, like their own bills and people making payments.

Second, of course you could get your mail there. You could do a change of address card, or send the address of the place to the people that mail to you. When your mail arrives at the storage place, they'd just put it in a folder or large envelope or something.

If some white nigger's mail started coming to a storage facility I was managitating I would throw it straight into the trash, after opening it.

Do you actually rent a storage space somewhere? You might find a place that would extend a courtesy to a customer, but they certainly wouldn't have any reason to do it otherwise. And if you paid them for the service, why do you think they would charge you less than you're paying for a box now?

A PO box might be cheaper than some commercial places, and you can pay for a PO box a year a time.

The problem with those is that every single sheet of paper mail is scanned (most likely by a minimum-wage kid) and then entered into a database that can be accessed by computer or cellphone. Then your already-opened mail (credit card statements, tax forms etc.) is physically stored. You think there might be some security issues? A sealed envelope mailed to a P.O. box is about as secure as paper mail gets, it's never out of USPS hands until it gets to you, and it's a convenience that really doesn't cost much.

If you kill yourself, eventually people will stop mailing stuff to you. Two problems solved!

We used to live in England, and every "newsagent" (sort of like a convenience store) offered "accommodation address service" for next to nothing. You used their address, they'd get the mail and sort it. Some of them made most of their money doing this. No big deal.

So now you have to move all your stuff someplace else, give everyone who sends you mail your new address, and trust somebody who really isn't in the mail business to make sure you mail is handled securely by everybody in his office, and by his successor if he quits. This is better than just paying for a box? And if you use your storage place as the address for credit cards and bills, it will show up on your credit report and raise red flags. There are good reasons why most people don't do this.
