China, India, and Nigeria didn't always have better economies so the kids in those nations were pressured to see education as their only chance to move up and become wealthy. IN that sense they are pressure more by their parents to succeed and if they don't they have harsh consequences. In that sense their parents are colder, more unemotional, and lack a warm heart and these traits are passed on to their children. In the end these kids succeeded to have more money, better status, and to marry whiter spouses. This is their idea of having it all. But the downside is they are cold as fish. Would you prefer someone with a heart or no heart at all? A good heart is based on humility, being humble, working hard, and having no sense of superficialities. Unfortunately, most are like the chinese, indian, and nigerians they are cold as ice.
