Burke Athletic Club (BAC) adds recreational basketball for the 2014-2015 winter season!

Registration for youth players and volunteers is now open on the BAC website: www.burkeathleticclub.org/basketball.

Youth Players: Boys and Girls, 2nd to 12th grade in fall of 2014

Early player registration includes a $15 discount from the on-time registration ($115).

Anyone interested in volunteering should complete the on-line Volunteer Registration.

Adult registration will open by mid-August, and additional details are available on the Adult league page.

Burke Athletic Club (BAC) Basketball is seeking applicants for the BAC Basketball Referee Assignor position for the 2014-2015 youth recreational basketball season.

Expected duties include:
•design and implement youth recreational referee training program
•assign referees for all BAC basketball games
•monitor and evaluate referee performance
•mentor and develop referees
•advise / coordinate all basketball items that affect/depend on referees

All interested parties should review the BAC Basketball website and email the POC listed on the referee page.

There used to be. It was called professional basketball in the 1940's and 50's.

7 September - early registration
19 October - on-time registration
mid November - Player evaluations
late November - Team formations
early December - First team practices
mid December - First games

Registration for the BAC 2014-2015 adult recreational basketball league is now open on the BAC registration page. Player registration fee is $95. Players can request a team in the on-line registration. Teams will play at least 10 weeknight games with a referee. Games will probably be at 8 and 9 PM

Registration for boys and girls youth leagues is on the same registration page.
