Roasted Pork Loin sliced thin simple as pie rubbed with olive oil, garlic rosemary 14 dollars makes a bunch of sandwiches. Roasts pretty quick at 325 F.
Sliced ham from any deli
Dill Pickels sliced flat at your grocery store
Swiss Cheese same

Thats the easy part.

Now the Cuban Bread..Thats the hard part but some breads will do.The Italian Tuscan braed from Trader Joes is pretty good, But not the real thing. If you find a place that has the Cuban Bread let us all know. Some Sub rolls flattened in the pan with a pan press may also do.

They sell pan presses as Bacon presses. As for hamburgers and pan presses, I follow JW Marriots advice. "Never let the spatula touch the top of the meat" Or a press.

Put in a skillet and cook like a grilled cheese sandwhich but with another skillet, or something on top if you dont have a pan press

Smith and Clarkson has a Cuban Sandwich which is not too bad at Ravensworth Shopping Center Braddock Road at the Beltway.

I guess you could say I adore a Cuban Sandwich!

Easy to make, hard to make well. Mad Fox in Falls Church has a very passable Cuban (and great mac & cheese to go with it), but of course, it's not in Fairfax County. Neither is the Caribbean Grill (Lee Highway at George Mason), but that's where I would go.

Wow! I only cheated by a little bit. As for the "Where to Go During Spring Training Trip" recommendations, try Roberto's Little Havana on Orlando St in Cocoa Beach. Nice! But better yet, venture down to Melbourne Beach and the Coconut Cove Cafe off A1A. One of the best German restaurants anywhere!

Willard's in Chantilly isn't bad at all. Not authentic, but tasty.

Man, Dogfish Head used to have the best Cubano, but they took it off the menu. Perhaps because of the embargo? We may never know.

DONT FORGET THE MUSTARD! French's will do or some good brown mustard.

It's a little far from Fairfax but 100% worth the drive (on a weekend). Mojito's and Tapas Restaruant in Warenton is the best Cuban food in the Metro area. Their Cuban sammiches are perfect!
