Riding dirtbikes in the area?

Does anyone know of riding spots around the area? They seem to have dried up for the most part.

Many of the powerline easements are actually on private property. Often the cops catch you on dirtbikes. Using motorcycles- like Endura Yam/Suzi's-650's. Po po dirts gonna make you squirt! Much of it is private owned. Fairfax Co has no riding space for ripping dirt bikes. Head west young man.

Yeah, I know.

Dirt bike days are pretty much over in FFX. Just thought someone might have a lead on a place we don't know about. Guess you'll find on Ralph P's street and sidewalk sometime soon :)

Obviously you can't have a race in the power lines but I could give a fuck about the private property in the power lines for riding for a hour or so every couple weekends. I don't see any difference between atv/dirt bike and horseback riding in the lines and the bridle trails. It's all or nothing. You can't say horses are OK but not engines. I won't stand for that sort of discrimination.

And I have been riding back there since I moved there in 04. I have been yelled at once by a dude and have never ever seen a cop. How could they possible catch me. I would bunny hop the fences and nac-nac/can-can to Loudoun before they could get the heli up.

Are you my kid?

Kidding but...my kid kinda said the same thing to me yesterday.

In '03 there was Ashburn and AOL for local spots. Mountaineer closed. Tomahawk still there but thats all the way up 81N to WV then some.

Time to sell the bikes I guess...b'sides I got colleges to pay.

Nonetheless, please feel free to respond to the thread if you know where to ride or want some company to ride with you at your track/trail/spot/whatever.

Just trying to stay in it a little longer :)

Think about it... This area is missionary position only.

I have had to stop riding my street bike because of all of the fuck knuckles talking and texting or just shitty drivers in this area trying to kill me.
I honestly believe a moto track would make money in this area.

but no, This area has no heart, It's filled with a bunch of suit wearing, BMW driving, going to wolf trap to dance around like a bunch of kansas city faggots who live here.

Moto X takes balls AND money. So no, not in sue-happy FFXCO anymore.

I have to say though...I think we rode it until the end....sorry neighbors...I spent all my money on fastass bikes.

Any buyers?

this reminds me of a story peter egan of cycle world wrote..." Days gone by " I think that was the title.

Does anyone remember when as kid and firing up your used kx 80 two stroke, or any other low cc model, and going for a ride in the woods behind your house in fairfax?

Check out Taskers Gap for ATV trails in The George Washington National Forest in Fort Valley, VA. The trails are alot of fun. You can purchase the ATV Trail Pass at Outlanders in Luray, VA. They are the only ones that sell the pass (if you are south of the trails.) They also have riding gear or parts for your ride, and their deli has tasty sandwiches to choose from. If you want, visit their website at http://www.Outlanders.ws for a look at Taskers Gap map, they also have them available at the store.

So you want a place to ride, but you want someone else to pay for it? There are no freebies in life... earn some money and you can build your own private dirt trail paradise... land is cheap out near West VA.

This is one of the more stupid things I've read on this site, and that's saying something. It's a lot like saying that if I have a party and invite people I like I also have to invite you because it's "all or nothing" and you don't see "any difference." Let me explain the difference: Dirt bikes are noisy, horses aren't. Dirt bikes stink, horses don't. Dirt bikes are obnoxious, horses aren't. And the point of private property is that the owners can do as they like. If an owner of private property wants to allow horses but not dirt bikes they are free to do that.

Want to ride your dirt bike around? Buy some property and do that--but stay the fuck off my land. I didn't move out to the country so I could listen to your noisy, obnoxious ass ride around in my back yard.

You need to see a doctor..When the doctor says " what's wrong with you today?" You should reply.." I think I Suck."
