WASHINGTON -- D.C. Police are looking for former Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis in connection with a domestic violence incident in Adams Morgan last month.
According to police, Davis verbally fought with a woman, then threw something at her. The assault took place in the 2400 block of 18th street NW about 3:40 p.m. on June 3.
D.C. police previously said assault occurred a day earlier and in the early morning hours.
Davis was a second round draft pick out of the University of Southern California and played for the Redskins from 2008-13, but had been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for violating its substance-abuse policy.
Davis was also arrested for driving while intoxicated on February 21 this year. He was previously accused of assault in a civil suit stemming from an incident in a D.C. nightclub in 2011, for which he was forced to pay the plaintiff nearly $20,000.
Police say Davis, of Leesburg, Virginia, faces a charge of domestic violence/simple assault.
Anyone with information about the case or Davis' whereabouts is asked to call police at 202- 727-9099.
