DEA proposed Kratom ban Sept 30th, 2026

This plant LITERALLY saves lives. It is not a drug. This is an attack on those sick and suffering. Please let your voice be heard. If not for yourself then for those who can not speak for themselves. Please do your own research. Join the fight. The negative consequences of this ban are pain,suffering, and making criminals of people who just want to have a normal life. PEOPLE WILL DIE! Look where its been made illegal. Overdoses from opiates have skyrocketed. Please, I implore you to research and follow your conscience. This is not a liberal or conservative issue. This is a basic and fundamentally human issue.

Couple of things strike me as odd with this one:

One, the DEA cited 16 deaths loosely attributable to Kratum over the past few years...or something like that. I say loosely attributable because it has been reported that in most (or all) of these instances, other substances were present.

But, if 16 deaths gets a substance on schedule 1, make room for tobacco...beer...wine...probably coffee.

Two, how does the DEA get to decide what is on the list? Isn't that kind of like the police getting to decide the laws? I thought there was some sort of due process, and, a separation between enforcing and law making.

Guess not.

Never heard of the stuff. Googled and found this testimony

"I am 40 years old, suffer from chronic pain issues for 10 years, been prescribed heavy pain meds for 7 of those years. I quit the opiates, control my pain with Kratom, and my quality of life has been exponentially better. We aren’t a bunch of junkies looking to get high. For the most part we are chronic pain patients, anxiety and depression sufferers, and recovering opiate users. It works on such a broad spectrum of things for so many thousands of people, and we should have the right to safely medicate."

So I think the crux is "quit the opiates"...http://www.goodhealthinfo.net/cancer/fda_cozy_relationship.htm

Can't have a beneficial plant eating away at big pharma's profits now, can we?

Right. Even though it is known, even by regulators, that pharma is creating heroin addicts.

Prescription opioid pain medications such as Oxycontin and Vicodin can have effects similar to heroin when taken in doses or in ways other than prescribed, and they are currently among the most commonly abused drugs in the United States. Research now suggests that abuse of these drugs may open the door to heroin abuse.

Nearly half of young people who inject heroin surveyed in three recent studies reported abusing prescription opioids before starting to use heroin. Some individuals reported taking up heroin because it is cheaper and easier to obtain than prescription opioids.

I ordered some kratom last year and tried a few different vendors and strains. Honestly, it didn't really do much for me. With that being said, it's absolutely preposterous that the DEA fucknuts would consider kratom as schedule I drug.

The DEA is a fucking joke.

Just gives the DEA more work to do.

Kind of the like the "DEA Full Employment Act".

It's almost like a private enterprise being able to create their own contracts with the government.

Hey, look everybody, we just got a contract to ban Kratom, and we get to enforce this ban! At least for the next two years, maybe longer! Mo' money for us!

And oh, by the way, we made this contract!

What happened to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

This ban really is ludicrous. The white house petition now has over 100K signatures. That, of course, is the threshold where a response is mandated by the administration. Is anyone planning on attending the march on the 13th of this month in DC? Come out at 12:00 and make a difference. It has to start somewhere. It has to start with someone. Link up, stand up, and speak out!

If you have all those medical issues, I hope you are seeing ban actual psychiatrist who can guide you to the right meds. Mine has done wonders for me. Kratom is usually just a coffee enhancement for me, perhaps a teaspoon with morning bev. And again in the late afternoon. Any later and it's not useful for sleep. And no I've noticed no difference with white green or res but then I have built up a pretty generalized tolerance over the span of my life. But Gold Maeng Da and Green Elephant Kratom have taken care of my anxiety, minor depression and done wonders for my ADD.

I know that c, ommon anxiety signs and symptoms include:

--Feeling nervous, restless or tense;
-Having a sense of impending danger, panic or doom;
-Having an increased heart rate;
-Breathing rapidly (hyperventilation);
-Sweating;
-Trembling;
-Feeling weak or tired;
-Trouble concentrating; or thinking about anything other than the -present worry;
-Having trouble sleeping;
-Experiencing gastrointestinal (GI) problems;
-Having difficulty controlling worry;
-Having the urge to avoid things that trigger anxiety;
If you find such symptoms in someone close to you, it is mandatory to consult a psychologist. kratom
