Well I am a Freshman in NVCC. Last Wednesday I had to turn in a 250 word essay summary on an article. On Wednesday we have a 500-WORD Summary and Analysis Paper. due. is it common to have so much work in a college class or is this lady giving us a lot of work? IN WEEK 6 we have an other paper due. and WEEK 13 WE have RESERACH PAPER DUE if we fail to do that one we fail the class. but is it normal for a college teacher at nova to give so much homework?

In any case, you probably have, what, 12 hours of classes? That leaves you lots of time to write a lousy two-page article summary and still have time to jerk off and smoke weed.

Some of us had 35 hours of classes, which barely left time to drink OR jerk off -- we had to pick one. Oh, and those were engineering classes, a lot harder to BS our way through...

I don't know the answer to your question, Op, because I haven't been in college for a very long time.

However, my general impression of the assignments is that they are fairly long and wordy. Writing a basic summary of an article is pretty easy though. Writing a summary plus analysis is a little more college level. Take the assignments seriously and do your best on them.

Depending on how "words" are counted, you've practically got a hundred words in this question. You need to write a summary 2 1/2 times longer than the words you've written here. I think the hardest part will be being concise and fitting the whole summary into 250 words.

Then you have to do a summary and analysis in 500 words. Again, you are going to have to edit down and streamline your words to make your essay as concise as possible.

These aren't hard assignments though. Not to me at least.

you were supposed to have learned in HS that when an essay is assigned you begin working on it, making progress co-ordinate for when it's due. the day before it's due it should already be done and you should still get enough sleep you are not handicapped in any classes for lack of sleep.

you don't begin thinking about if you'll do it sunday maybe begin monday when it's due wed.

you'd have to write it all today and rewrite it all tomorrow - having no time for what else your supposed to be doing
