Does anybody know if the apartments at The Fields at Lorton Station are decent? The apartments seem nice, but what's the raicial makeup & crime activity by there & Lorton Station? Looking at maybe moving there with my girlfriend if we aren't the only white people that would live there.

If you want to live with a more middle-class- financially stable enviroment where you won't have to deal with people making low-income decisions---- you will have to pay full market rent, at a full-market apartment complex sorry.

It is NOT a few bad apples, my friend. If it was just a few bad apples, we wouldn't have these problems. It is a SIGNIFICANT number of blacks that act this way. And, who is going to hire someone that walks around with their pants around their ankles, tattoes, and is barely literate? Besides, are they looking for a job? Lorton 2001 is correct. It is not a few bad apples............it's a problem that blacks are too embarrassed to discuss, and whites are too afraid (racism charge) to bring up out in the open. So, blacks don't say anything or blame it on racism and many whites try to avoid it but when they see it but pretend like it's not happening. Meanwhile, it goes on and on, year after year.

I used to live there. In the five years that I was there, my car was stolen from the parking lot, a woman was assaulted in broad daylight (also in the parking lot), the upstairs neighbors broke their sliding glass patio door twice in domestic disputes (and the glass rained down on my patio), and there were human remains discovered in the woods behind my complex. I swear to God, I am not making up any of this. Plus, our air conditioner broke in the middle of summer, and they didn't fix it for three weeks. I could go on and on.

"Don't do it" is correct .... there are many problems in this housing development which I would venture to say is mostly Section 8 housing. If you still want to see for yourself, I would take a visit to Lewis Chapel Road on any summer evening or weekend. There are indeed good people who live here -- people who work hard to provide for their families. Many would really like to be able to move elsewhere but have few choices available to them. This being said, I also know that there are also pockets of people in the development who basically abuse the welfare system, neglect and abuse their children, and even elementary age children cause huge problems in the area.

Stay away from that area; niggers have ruined it like they ruin everything else.

County move us to nice apartment near Tysons with swimming pool and security gate. They pay all rent but $100. Cable (with HBO) and light bill paid by county. We get $1300 a month check for food and $300 card for milk, food, diapers, for kids. I get free car to look for job! But why find job if I get free apartment and money?
