Happy 7/11 Day! It's July 11, which means 7-Eleven Day -- which means free Slurpees for everyone.
How do you get those cool beverages?
The convenience store chain is offering one free small Slurpee (now a 12-ounce cup instead of 7.11 fluid ounces) per customer. To get it, just enters any of its locations between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday and ask for one.
There are six 7-Elevens located in the Syracuse area: 1718 Grant Blvd., Syracuse; 2450 James St., Syracuse; 1120 N. Salina St., Syracuse; 101 Valley Drive, Syracuse; 123 N. Main St., Syracuse; and 201 W. Broadway, Fulton.
What is a Slurpee?
For the uninitiated, it's 7-Eleven's frozen flavored drinks that are similar to slushies and "icees." Slurpee.com lists a variety of fun flavors, including Blue Lightning Blast, Fanta Oddball Orange, Alienade, Lemonade, Cherry Orange Blitz, Sprite Snowball Blast, Diet Coke Frost Cherry and Mountain Dew Game Fuel.

Time reports 7-Eleven is also extending this year's birthday celebration to a week of giveaways. Starting Saturday, each day will feature a different freebie: Free Big Gulp on Saturday 7/12, free M&M's Birthday Cake Flavor Candies on Sunday 7/13, free Grandma's Cookies on Monday 7/14, free Hostess Twinkies on Tuesday 7/15, free Twix or Snickers ice cream bar on Wednesday 7/16, free Quaker Chewy Yogurt Snack Bars on Thursday 7/17, free Pillsbury Cookies on Friday 7/18, and another day of free small Slurpees on Saturday 7/19.
However, the other giveaways require customers to download a 7-Eleven app on their smartphone to redeem the freebies. On 7-Eleven Day, though, no app is needed.
