What can I do regarding a judgment against me based on false information?

So here's the story. My sister owns a property in VA that i was renting and i got behind on the rent -which was not a problem. I moved from the property out of state and told her i would pay her back the money and all was fine. She suddenly needed money and asked me to pay it back immediately for which i could not do all at once. An argument ensued and she said that she was going to go to court to get a judgment against me. When i got the court documents she claimed that i owed her for several months i did not live there. In fact, she actually rented the property for those months. I sent her all of the documents proving how much i owed her and she ignored it. She knew I could not afford to show up for the hearing since i live in FL, so she won.

How should i proceed to get this judgment reversed?

Boy are you dumb. I bet you didnt have a lease either.

It's called default judgment. It's what happens to incredibly stupid people. You have to pay or you'll be moving to a rent free facility for awhile.

I don't know how much the judgment was for, but getting a judgment and collecting on a judgment are two different things. You could offer to pay a portion of the judgment in exchange for her filing a satisfaction of judgment with the court. You should hire an attorney to help.
