I find this interesting. Khalifa Hiftar controls half of Libya now. Just over 10 years ago, he was riding those crummy Skyline elevators and probably shopping at Safeway.

I remember during high school, I befriended these twin brothers whose father was a diplomat from Libya. Cool guys and they loved to party. Last I spoke to them was 2013, just before the revolution. Haven’t heard from them since.
