Im 16 and was caught shoplifting what happens to my record... will they tell my workplace

i told the police i didnt shoplift and hid the items in the malls bathroom before they checked my bag my 18 yr old sister however was caught with the items and given court dates. if they dont fins the items in the bathroom what will happen to me and if they do what will happen..also will this go on my record or tell my workplace
