Reflections of being a colored person in Fairfax
Posted by: BLACK LIVES MATTER!! ()

There is no better time to reflect on being American than after Fourth of July. Although I am extremely proud to be American, I have a major issue with the state of American society in general, particularly when it comes to the issue of racism. As a colored person myself, I have experienced first hand a great deal of racism in Fairfax, particularly when it comes to the police. I often find myself being the subject of racial profiling when I am doing nothing whatsoever to arose suspicion. This is attributed to systemic racism, which is deeply ingrained in the roots of American society. This makes it significantly harder for us colored people to do well in American society compared to our white counterparts. I feel that Fairfax is not nearly progressive enough in helping with the colored person's plight. As Fairfaxians, I feel that we need to do much more to stamp out racism in society so that we can all achieve equality like MLK would have wanted. If we all do our part starting in Fairfax, we can set an example for the rest of Virginia and hopefully they will follow our leadership. Only then will I be unconditionally proud of being an American in Fairfax, VA.

Educate yourself and help the Movement. Here's more truth that the media is trying to suppress:

Here's a thought, or two. Try going back to church, and encouraging other blacks to do the same. Live morally. Stop the outrageous rates of births out of wedlock. Build and support your families. Work with other of goodwill, of all races, colors, and creeds, to learn American History, and pursue the actual principles on which it was founded. Learn and follow the central statement of Dr. Martin Luther King to build a society where children are not judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. Try voting Republican, the party of Lincoln, the party of small government, and the party of personal responsibility and independence, and take ownership of your life and your destiny. Celebrate the freedoms you have in the United States, and be glad for them -- these freedoms are your birthright, as much as any other citizen. Show personal responsibility, claim them, live them, and teach them to your children.

What you have in the U.S. in terms of liberty in all its forms, you do not have in any other country today. There are those who wish to take them away, under the guise of BLM, or REVCOM, or ANTIFA, or lockstep corporations, but wish to enslave anew not only blacks, but all of us. Work with your fellow citizens to recognized and fight the actual enemies of our country, and oppose those who wish to destroy it.

There is no systemic racism in the US. Systemic racism is systems like Apartheid or Jim Crow law.

As soon as blacks stop with the violence and destruction, then there will be a noticeable change.

I’m all for being less racist. Any suggestions more specific than we need to be more progressive?

Also, from what I understand we aren’t allowed to pursue “equality as MLK would have wanted.” In the 2000s progressives push for segregated spaces and they say treating people equally is racist because it ignores our past or differences or something.

Lastly, I celebrate the Fourth, but not because I’m unconditionally proud of the US. It has a shit ton of short comings both historically and today. But I celebrate the Fourth because I haven’t seen a country who does things better.

Here's a little secret: I am a dark-complected lesbian, despite my vocalizations to the contrary. Also, I am an AVID tracker of chemtrails.
