McLean Bible church hires Fairfax County Police to block Traffic on Route 7 so their members don't have to wait through the light cycles. This creates huge traffic jams both directs on Route 7 so they get priority. Why should a bunch of useless cult members get priority over the general public? At least the public is doing something usefull instead of "idol worship" of an idiot preacher. We should start a campain to get them out of our community. They are parasites. The compound pays no real estate taxes and most of the members have sub Palin IQs. We don't need that type of garbage in Fairfax County. It seems it would fit better in Ashburn and it might actually help improve the IQ of that community.

Thoughts? And I mean thought of thinking humans who live in the community, not McLean Bible Church dullards who are so stupid, they give them 10% of their money to get a pass into heaven.

They hate how church goers are happy people who achieve success.

Calm down and I'm no fan of McLean Bible for the record. If the cop is letting the entire place empty out without letting you go it's his fault, not the churchgoers. The cop should count maybe 50-75 cars at a time or 90 seconds and then let the people on the road go. He just wants to get out of there faster if he's letting the whole lot go at once.

Somebody told me once, but I didn't believe them until I read this post, that there are really hateful people out there who hate McLean BC. They are a handful of locals who live near the church who just have a morbid hatred for the church.

You're making an awful lot of assumptions about things you know nothing about. While MBC isn't perfect (I don't attend), I do recognize they do a LOT of good in the community for both religious and non-religious.

TL;DR: Traffic is policed for MBC and other large events for safety reasons, MBC reimburses cops. MBC gives an enormous amount back to the community in both time and money.

We expect more from the redeemed folks, but those who are simply attending and have not: admitted they are a sinner, and that they need forgiveness, and that they acknowledge that Jesus rose from the dead, and died to pay for their sins and invited Jesus into thei hearts so that they can begin a relationship with God and have eternal life (John 3:16) ...

people who haven't experienced the Holy Spirit, well we don't have any real expectation that they will know how to properly treat their neighbors.

Yes, but "Love thy neighbor" which actually originally mentioned in the Torah (law or pentateuch) implies that we are kind to others around us.

Very few "religious" people that I know live really good lives.

They want to tell you how good they are.

Their social and business lives revolve around the church...it is a tool for the here and now. No different than a country club, fraternity, etc...very exclusionary.

It is weird to me that the main motivation of many of these people to "do good" is to get into heaven.

What about those that don't really believe in heaven, but still "do good"? Those are the real "saints" to me...they don't have a self serving motivation (getting into "heaven") to do so...

Do you really need to read an ancient book and go to meetings with candles, chanting, singing, etc to know what is right and wrong, and to be motivated to do so?

You have completely convinced me to join! I was going to go a sinning but now that I found Jesus I'm going home to pray. You should guys should go visit ISIS and show them them the error of their ways.
