Building Townhouse Community on Conference Center Drive???

Developers run over Fairfax County Comprehensive Plan again.

If you thought allowing the "Preserve at Westfields" was a colossally stupid idea (putting 155 townhouses and 650 apartments in the middle of a commercially zoned area at one of the worst intersections in Fairfax County i.e. Westfields Blvd/Stonecroft Blvd) here we go again.

Now it's the "The Retreat at Westfield" - another 150 townhouses on Conference Center drive literally between business parks. There is not a single residence anywhere off of Conference Center Drive.

What kind of morons run our county? Why is there a CP at all?

Those fucking things are going to sell before they are even built. I work for a company just around the corner from there and know people that work in a building right next to that location. Walk to work, go home for lunch or a nooner. Hell yes!

That's hardly the point. BUT, if you think the majority of people that will live there are going to be working within 5 miles of that location in 10 years, you would be totally wrong. That's not how the real world works.
