Fairfax County General :
Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
i'm unsure why a muslim who's father wasn't a criminal and lived poor is news
esp. since it isn't in fx. co. but va state
seldom have i worked besides muslims and most of them were honest
one was quite willing to steal for a living adn be prejudice. don't forget that.
it's who owes or took from YOUR pile, what is your business, that counts. color sometimes helps one count or be wary
they make too much news of it but we all know democrats want to take minority money in areas they are not the minority and have political control: it's they who are begging for the race issue to be a discussion rather than money
Good for the muslim guy, but it's kind of funny how the article refers to VSP as "elite" and "best of the best".
VSP has never been terribly selective. When I was a kid, I foolishly wanted to be a cop. Fairfax County and Arlington turned me down, but VSP said come on down! (this was 1972). I was a trooper for about a year and a half until a couple of close calls made me realize the insanity of putting my life on the line for $8K (that's right, eight grand) a year.

Adjusted for inflation, $8,000 in 1972 is $45,500 per year in 2014...that's really not that bad considering they make $36,000 starting today.
Do State Troopers get some sort of cost of living allowance? I can't imagine a trooper making the same income in Northern Virginia as a trooper living in southwest or central Virginia.

All State employees receive a pay differential if they work in NOVA. It isn't enough to matter much, though.
But when you accept employment with the Commonwealth, you have already agreed to terrible pay and benefits. A State job is okay in the depressed areas of VA (most of the State), but I don't know how they get anybody to work for them in NOVA.
Example, most of the maintenance people at GMU live way out in the Shenandoah Valley. The State provides a van for them to commute to GMU. If they had to drive their own cars, most of their pay would go into their gas tanks.
He looks like a decent guy. Only the second Muslim trooper in the whole state???
Sounds like VSP needs a little affirmative action training.

$8,000 was a better than average starting salary in 1972. Goes to show how police and other public servants have been taken for a ride over the years, right along with the rest of the middle and upper-middle classes.

The funny thing is, these moron republicans post on this website all their links next to Eesh's dudes getting pounded and stabitha teenage date rape rank posts, they get high rankings, then when people show up they see the likes of yucky24 and nignog talkin about how black people are destroying, silver back line, etc etc
You think someone on the fence (not me or gerry or any of the other progressives who like fuckin with you yokels) actually would show up on this site and say YEA! I agree with that racist douchebag who sounds like hes from 1955!
Lol, keep digging your graves morons, tell Reince his idea of turning Fairfax in 2016 aint workin, or atleast that he has to hire some actual talent.
way to go in losing the persian vote, make up 6% of the fairfax county voters. Keep on singling out nationalities and telling them, "I am a republican and I hate you."
Good for him! I hear he's already busted 4 women for being out in public without a male relative, 3 for not wearing burqas, and 5 for daring to drive an automobile.

Thank you again for reminding passerbys why they should never associate with any group that associates with you.

I was speeding up 95 a couple days ago and muzzlie cop was posted up ahead with his radar. I slowed down in time due to the distinct smell of camel breath and unwashed ass.
