Is there a kayak or canoe launch spot in Lake Braddock or is it totally private?

There are two places on Burke Lake, The marina which I have not been to in 35 years and the Public ramp off 123. That ramp and parking lot is controled by the Game and Fisheries Commission. Burke lake was created as a lake for fishing. So people can only use that launch if they are there to fish. Meaning 1. you need a Va fresh water fishing license, and two bring a fishing rod and a lure to "Fish" Once out on the lake paddle round. people were parking in the lot there and the GFC started tickiting people who do, thete are red warning signs there about this. If you have a fishing license and rod no problem, otherwise go into Burke Lake to the marina and pay the fee to launch.

There is not a park or ramp open to the public at Lake Braddock.

There is a ramp at Lake Braddock and absolutely no one is enforcing "residents only." If you want to bring a kayak or small sailboat to Lake Braddock you can give them my name and say you're visiting a friend on Kendrick Lane.

It can't be enforced because the lake itself isn't for resident's only. Like the other similar drainage control lakes around here, it's county property. The problem is that there's no public access to it. Only a couple of places where you can get away with parking and it's a pain dragging a boat that far.
