The break-in occurred about between April 4 and April 5 in the 1800 block of Tilletson Place.
The thief broke out a rear sliding glass door and stole $7,300 worth of property, including jewelry.
Some of the stolen goods were sold at a local pawn shop, leading police to identify Howard as a suspect, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
Detectives issued warrants charging Howard with burglary, grand larceny and destruction of property, but have been unable to locate him.
Howard is black, about 6 feet 5 inches tall and 250 pounds.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700. Callers don’t have to give their names. Tips leading to arrest could earn a $1,000 cash reward.
