Now NOVA is pushing Big Data and how it can create another 12,000 jobs. Don't know about you tards, but I delete my cookies every time I log off. We have enough big brother with the NSA, don't need more

Too many people here already! It takes me 10 minutes to get a drink at Bonefish.

I say put them in Cake's hood in MD.

Not sure there's much point in saying this, but:
>I delete my cookies every time I log off.

...tells us that you don't know what you're on about. Doing so has almost no effect on tracking your activity...sorry.

You think big data simply means tracking your browsing history? LOL

An example of big data would be stores data mining your purchase history so they can send you customized coupons.

The 12000 jobs would not be highly skilled. It would be essentially support personnel. Most of the highly skilled labor is done offsite. So 12000 (maybe) added to the workforce. Lastly, I don't think Virginia is doing anything to encourage growth in the data centers. It is going to happen regardless.

The thing with the jobs though- is they will mostly go to AMERICANS since you need a heck of a clearance to get into these places!!!! I KNOW they use E-verify- so this means more jobs for US! This is a GOOD THING people!!!! They can't take H1B on this!!!
