Mice Infestation - PLEASE HELP!!!
Posted by: Tina28 ()

Hello All,

I seriously need some help and solid advice. I'm new to the area been here about three months signed a one-year lease in an apartment and beliebr I have a constant mouse infestation issue since I've found 5 mice and counting and the leasing office does little to nothing to help alleviate it.

Aside from the language in my lease, I'm asking any of you all if you have any information that is helpful from the state of Virginia in terms of terminating my lease due to inhabitable conditions.

Thank you so much in advance.

"inhabitable conditions"? I think we've found the problem.

I'm just looking for anybody who's had similar experiences to help me terminate my lease.

Bitch you need to stop leaving food out. Just because you live a disgusting and filthy existence doesn't mean you get to bail after fucking up someone's place. Mice are only there for one reason, easy access to food.

You ever hear of a mousetrap? Or are you waiting on the gov't to bring you one and give you a training class?

It's called a Lease Breaking Party. Invite every drunk you can find and crank up the volume and to hell with the neighbors. Keep doing this until the neighbors start bitching to management. Sooner or later they will send you an eviction notice. Another way is to get a dog if pets are prohibited. You're probably going to lose your security deposit anyway so you might as well have some fun while you're at it.

Get a huge family size bucket of KFC-extra skin, and place the bucket in your crawlspace area. Once a nigger family moves in, the mice will vacate!

Take a bit of time to visit your local animal shelter. Here is what to look for:

Ignore the ignorant feedback on this string and gain a free consultation with a local attorney that oversee landlord/tenant issues.

Until you can talk with an attorney and resolve that way, practically in the mean time for a cheaper solution from a friend who is an exterminator, buy some wire mesh from the hardware store and plug any 1/4 inch or large holes around pipes or elsewhere. Unlike rats, mice who do not have bony bodies only need 1/4 inch to get through. They do not have the teeth to chew through the wire mesh. I did the wire mesh in a previous apartment as they were coming in around the washing machine pipes, and problem solved though I only had a few mice. With a larger infestation this will likely help some, but it probably will not eliminate.

Do not go through the eviction route, as it will make it difficult for you to rent another place for years.

Next time searching for an apartment, check review sites such as apartmentratings.com , Google Maps Local, and Yelp for honest tenant reviews of local apartment communities. Ignore the very short positive reviews which may be posted by leasing agents.

Had a nigger family rent one of my places.
Left food out all night, never picked up their dog shit....had nice.
I called an exterminator and met with him.
Told him “to get rid of the diseased rodents”
Exterminator told me he didn’t want to goto prison.....

Glue traps at corners and wherever you see droppings. Replace them regularly when you catch one.

Don't leave food out, and make sure your place isn't a shithole.

If you're in an apartment the nest most likely isnt in your apartment, so as a previous poster said, you'll have to pack whatever openings you can find with steel wool.
