Guns, Guns and Guns!
Posted by: Que? ()

So it seems that the last 7 years of "Obama's gonna take our guns away" have taken it's toll on the area, with many new gun shops opening up.

A week or so ago I noticed "Fairfax Armory" coming in Kamp Washington.
50 West Armory, in Chantilly
Some joint came (and went) in Mclean over the last 4-6 months.

Those are on top of Blue Ridge, VA Arms, Dominion Arms, Nova Armament, etc.

We probably have a solid 10 gun store options in a 15 mile radius.

Why? I mean, aside from the fact that this area must have 20 of everything. Why? What could possibly be the justification for this many gun shops in such a small area?

For the record, I own multiple firearms and support the second amendment. I don't do it to the extreme, I don't fly a "Don't tread on me flag" and I don't have a "...come and take them" tattoo anywhere on my body.

It's market driven and it's fear driven.

Americans now can see a government that talks about punishing it's citizens that don't fall in line with thier rules. Any time you see government putting laws in place that take away thier freedoms and beliefs, your going to have a fight on your hands.

Crime is up. The government makes heros our of thugs, and portrays the cops as the bad guys. Citizens are beginning to realize if they are going to be protected, they are going to have to do it themselves.

Make fun of the new gun owners if you want. They're tuning up in record numbers for good reason. The media does everything in it's power to downplay the shit that's really happening. Some can see the storm that's coming and want to be prepared.

The society as a whole has lost it's morals and civility. There are a host of reasons and plenty of blame to go around. The bottom line is, we're not as safe as we used to be 10 years ago. It's in the air. Breath it in. Can you smell it?

Men are doers of evil. Take away our guns, knives, and clubs and we will still kill each other with our bare hands.

There is no escaping that fact.

"Guns, guns, guns"????

Because there are so many Niggers, niggers, niggers!!!

Dumb faggots. Want no guns, get rid of the niggers. Taconiggers, RiceNiggers, Sandniggers. Add in PotatoNiggers and PastaNiggers for good measure.

Shit, we'll have million years of world peace and humanity will reach for the stars.

But when we get there we'll most likely find GreenNiggers.

well where there is demand there will be supply. Obama with his threats for gun control just makes this supply/demand even greater. Gun Industry has seen record sells under his watch. When the people fear one of their biggest rights as an american will get taken away they will act on it even if out of spite.

Gander Mountain has 100 rounds for $20 (brass of course)

If you don't mind the Russian steel stuff, that you can get real cheap online.

As if you had to ask....

Rafael Arnez McCloud allegedly had killed once before. More than eight months later -- and days after escaping a Mississippi jail -- he appeared poised to kill again. Wielding a bloody knife, he held a man, a woman and their 5-year-old son hostage in a bathroom of their Vicksburg home.

But this time, he was the one who ended up dead.

Early Thursday, the 24-year-old wife and mother, who'd been allowed to leave the bathroom, returned with a handgun and fired one shot at McCloud, police said. She then untied her husband, who "took control of the weapon and fired additional shots, striking McCloud."

Have you seen the home invasion topics on this site.

I love guns. Only have 2 myself but train on them regularly. The NRA range in Fairfax is world class. My S&W Shield is almost always on me.

The HUGE problem is the masses that go buy guns and dont bother to learn to use them at all. Learn to use your gun properly and safely. I took my CCW course at the NRA HQ it was world class.

Remember folks....if you shoot somebody in self defense pray you do not miss and have that round end up killing some kid a half a block away. Practice...

All the tacticool shops should offer weight loss pills. Went into one of them and most of the employees and customers were obses. I always thought being a cool guy with a scar you should fill the entire shoe not just the waist line. They even post pictures online training, how about running a few miles ya big old fatties.

Anyways, that 50 west armory brings in a little competition to the area, one of those shops is filled with arrogant pricks working their.

In many ways this is a return to normal.

Into the 80s-90s there were three gun bussiness in a small area in Annandale (Dawsons - now in Woodbridge, The Loading Bench, and an (cozy) indoor range accross the parking lot from Dawsons.

There have been two gun shops close to Fairfax High School - one right next to the Rt 50 entrance, one on one of the side streets near the White House motel.

At least three that I knew of in Alexandria.

Fogel's near Cameron Station. Gave ME a bit of the creaps, was probably OK.

These are only ones I can remember visiting. There were probably others I was unaware of.

The point being, not having gun shops in Norther Virginia isn't normal for the area.

So violent crime down year to year. Crimes against society down year to year. Property crime flat. So "Crime is up" is false.

Fairfax is a very safe place. The presence or ownership of firearms typically increases risk of something bad happening to the good guy, not reduce it.

Just picked up a case of .223. It's not 5.56, but worth stocking up on anyhow. That makes over 5K rounds with a goal of 10K. Just on the outside chance Billary gets in - and stranger things have happened. With 9 ARs and 125 standard capacity mags, if she makes 'em illegal (as she's stated she wants to) I'll be in a good trading position.

I'm building damn nice ARs for $535 each right now and selling for $790 in private f-2-f sales. All legal. I have 23 lowers in inventory, plus a dozen 80% lowers. Let the games begin.

Do they still sell guns at local sporting goods stores? Back in the day I worked at Montgomery Ward's in the sporting goods section and we sold handguns, shotguns and rifles. I remember the old Sports Authority in Springfield Mall sold them too.

100 bucks

will probably flip the antique iver. or trade for ammo, range time, or a scope.

With a Star reloading machine front and center for .38 wad cutters. next to Dawsons sporting goods that sold handguns with a Fairfax county 3 day wait after 1973

No I never fired one off there just looking people

DAJAX Dawson's was a great professionally ran place no "assault weapons" back then I guess if you wanted one they would order it , but most people were happy with their traditional firearms and a Smith & Wesson M-29 .44 magnum was not to be found except at inflated prices because of the movie Dirty Harry.

Fairfax County PD , FCSD and The VSP both had S&W model 10 blue steel .38's with round nose 158 grain bullets , just the basics to avoid claims of "police brutality" if an officer was forced to fire at a attacking felon using deadly force against the officer committing attempted capitol murder of a police officer in the line of duty after the death penalty came back , life not death for attempted capitol murder was the max.

Death if they succeeded was the max with life at the discretion of the circuit court judge and a unanimous jury verdict in both the guilt part of the trial and the sentencing part also, Judges can lower jury sentences not raise them under Virginia law
