Are Single Family Homes Destroying Fairfax County?

All these homes being bought and converted into rentals and Airbnb's.

What do you think?

The good landlords don't allow trashy people in their rentals and there are very few SFH homes on Airbnb due to laws. It's the Asian/Indian slumlords who rent out the rooms to illegals who fuck it up. I pay for my tenants lawn service on all my rentals, that alone helps the image a ton, it looks nicer than most of the owner occupied homes. Most of us buy distressed homes and invest tens of thousands into the home, obviously helping out the neighborhood as a whole. Tl;dr Fairfax enforcement sucks, so illegals and slumlords thrive in turn ruining neighborhoods.

SFH landlord - Guess my point is that the SFH with the 30 year mortgage and the family of four with the white picket fence is a dying entity.

You are the exception than the rule. Good job.

Lots of houses and townhouses near GMU are rented to multiple students and are causing big parking problems. Most of these rented out homes are owned by Koreans. Additionally the students do very little lawn care and the homes go to hell.

I shared one of those townhouses with a couple of roommates back in the day. I am now pushing 55 years young.

GMU students/young adults have been living in those townhouses around GMU for a long time. This is nothing new.
