I agree with this, but I have seen the losers who spend $20, $30, or more a day on lotteries. Lotteries are truly a tax on the poor.

Finallly, the guy was done.
When I was in HS & worked at Burger King, I hated waiting on black people. It was the same way. You didn't like waiting on them in the 1st place b/c they were so rude, but, just when you thought you'd gotten rid of them, it was "gimmuh 'dis" & "gimmuh 'dat". They changed their mind a 100X & wanted to argue about everything. I was glad to be done with that job.

Of a pick three ticket 555 when some one forgot to get it out of the new lottery machines as the place they come out is way down and its ez to miss one. When I grabbed my pick fours and stuffed them in my wallet I too missed that 555 as it was the bottom ticket
Days later when I checked the numbers mine were losers and the 555 when I saw it made me laugh as negroes play these numbers all the time and lose all the time
I checked and 555 came straight out!
Another time I was waiting for numbers right before 12 pm and a negro was holding up the line with numerous play slips of 25 cent 50/50 numbers spening 15 dollars to try to win chump change. I had a 1 dollar straight day number and thought time ran out for day tickets so I went and change to another play slip with the number at night
I was a dummy as they did not stop the day numbers till almost 2pm and when I checked later that dammed number came out straight as a day number
Win Some Lose Some But You Cant Win Big If You Don't Play At Least 1 ticket

I once won $15,000 on a scratch card, and what happened next was awful. I was scratching it on the toilet while drunk and with diarrhea, and accidentally wiped myself with the ticket and flushed it.

When I was 18, I won $1000 on a $2 scratch off. I feel like at the time, it felt like 100k would feel to me now, so it was pretty cool.
It’s actually a bummer to have happened though because I’m sure I’ve lost much more that that over the last 20 years. I’m sure I wouldn’t play as much as I do if I didn’t have that experience.
Still, I find it fun, never play more than I expect to lose and am realistic of the odds. I also never scratch them in public. The people who spend their paychecks in the corner of a 7-11 on lottery tickets are pathetic. I’ve got plenty of vices but am wealthy enough that losing $10 here and there has absolutely no impact on my life other than adding a small, harmless thrill.
