Cop convention in Vienna this morning

I hate to start another police thread, but this morning off Nutley in Vienna I saw 9 ffx county cars neatly parked behind each other on the curb and one Vienna PD car. Not one had its lights on or anyone in it or standing around.
I did see one cop walking out of the house with a dog but that was it.

Sounds like they moved the convention from the Dunkin' Donuts this year.

Not directly related to your observation today, but seems like they're on convention everyday in Vienna. Has anyone noticed that Vienna cops, as well as seemingly every other Town of Vienna employee with a town vehicle (Parks and Rec, Public Services) is strategically parked all over town during the morning commute?
I know some of the cops are dealing with schoolkid pedestrian traffic, but some sometimes it seems like the rest I mentioned were given orders to put on a show of force to show residents their tax dollars at work or something. Thing is, they're not working, just idling.
Maybe (hopefully) it's just me and they're all gainfully employed.
