Here come the crafts vendors!

It's Day-2 of Viva! Vienna!, meaning that in addition to all the the rides, food, and music that were available yesterday, crafts vendors of all sorts and from all over will be setting up tents along Church Street for your browsing and buying pleasure. From knick-knacks to necessities, quality hand-made almost whatever you want will be available at one stall or another.

It's getting on summer now of course with temps today headed to the upper 80's. This means that scattered thunderstorms will be possible late in the afternoon and early this evening. Things should be fine through 5:00 pm though. After that?

The festival is open today from 10 am to 10 pm, with free parking and shuttle rides every 20 minutes to and from both James Madison High School and the north side of the Vienna Metro station. Come on over an have yourself a day of good old-fashioned fun!

Some of the 'crafts' vendors will be pushing 'gutter-helmets' and the like, but all in all, there has been some nice crafts stuff to be had at Viva Vienna.

Hand crafted in Bangladesh by 12 year old kids working 16 hour days. My markup is minimal and goes to support the Vienna Lily White Bridge Club. Come on out to Vienna. On your way out of town be sure to visit our black community up by JMHS or our Hispanic community around Cedar Lane.
