More Korean business owners would vote Republican if they didn’t cheat on their taxes.

Despite what high school assholes think, no actual business owner who wants to continue being an actual business owner cheats on his taxes. The cheaters are all these crappy little pass-through LLC's that have no or next to no employees at all.

Cash heavy businesses commit tax fraud frequently.

Ever wonder why a carryout will use a calculator to add up your bill plus sales tax. They then make change from the register after entering no sale. They get to pocket the sales tax. Might not seem like much but there is state sales tax plus a local tax in some areas and it adds up.

Cheapest food item I saw was a tiny meatball in a dixie cup for $9.

Events like this try to get you to come all the way over there,
spend time finding difficult parking, walk 1/4 mile, and then
they figure you are committed and will pay any amount.

Didn't get anything, left; lesson learned.

I can get a bag of about 50 of those meatballs precooked for $4 at the store!

They also had a beer garden, no idea how much it cost since I don't drink beer and didn't go in those ropes.

Did NOT see any chili competition.

DID see lots of dogs on leashes, one of them was wearing fairy wings.
Maybe that was part of some competition earlier. I was there about 2PM.

There wss face painting, some kind if puppet or magic show (not playing while I was there) and some lone guy on a stage doing I don't know what.
It was not Meade Skelton, unfortunately....

There were some Democrats with booths trying to get political donations.

Also a couple of churches including Bahai.

There was a "pop up park" in the grass next to the fire station (which was having open house). I asked what the park was, and all they could repeat was, "It's a concept!" I asked them to nail down what exactly was happening over there. Answer was finally "corn-hole" (beanbag tossing game for little kiddies).

There were a lot of cops hanging out together wearing summer shorts.

That's about all there was.

I do believe there had been a 5K race in the morning but no trace of that.

phelpsmarc, of course I agree that Asia is a great part of the world and they do bring to our world a lot of good stuff. Modern technologies and food goods as well. But the best dish I've ever tasted from Asian cuisine is the Japanese rice, that's why I've bought my wife pretty neat rice cooker after I've chosen a good one analyzing this article: (https://cozyhousetoday.com/best-japanese-rice-cooker-reviews/). Really informative overview of all cookers and their pros and cons.
