It was so cool man. On Tuesdays you could pick up drunken skanks of all ages at PJ Skidoos ladies night. If you wanted a better variety on Tuesday and were willing to risk STDs and/DUIs, you could drive down to Springfield and check out Blackies/DejaVu ladies night. Country bar on one side and hip hop on the other. All kinds of pussy to be had in that joint. On Thursdays you could find tons of drunken Mason ho's over at Bridge's ladies night. On any given weekend night you could swing by TT Reynold's for live music by a whole host of mediocre bands...Emmet Drowning, Modern Tomorrow, V.E.S. etc.

In summary...the 90s in Fairfax was a fucking blast. Sorry you missed out, young buck.

I was born and bred in FFX. Graduated in 1989 from HS. I don't want to talk about what it was like here back then. It makes me want to start drinking.

I absolutely can't believe what you imports have done to this place.

No, no, no, the blacks have been here for a while. Hell, even the asians were here too. It's the beaners that're the straw that broke the camel's back.

I think the asians, blacks, indians, whites, should get together and expel the illegal invaders from the south. They are ruining this country and everyone knows it.

Why do the beaners even come here? They hate cold winters, there are no farm crops to pick, few hotels that hire them, and only so many u-haul shops to beg for work from. Plus its like double the price to make phone calls and send money orders back to Meheeco. Makes no sense.

The only people ruining this country are the old racist white farts who let the worst of the worst in every country around the world into this country LEGALLY. Since they are here LEGALLY those people have less motivation to work and contribute to this country. The illegal ones are here to work HARD and be productive.

What everyone with a brain knows is that racist, nativist assholes like you all are just a bunch of ignorant full-of-shit losers. It's you worthless fucktards who are the "spics" -- as in despicable. Go fuck yourselves, you worthless pieces of honky-ass trash. After that, get the fuck out. You are ruining a perfectly good county.

Yup, everything they touched turned to shit. Then they all ran away and tried to hide, claiming that they'd actually been libertarians all along. What a hoot. Same bunch of total clueless dumbfucks who were sure that tax cuts for the rich were a good idea, that Saddam had mountains of WMD, that Brownie was doing a heckuva job, and that the fundamentals of the economy were strong -- all of whom should be cowering in the corner shame -- are instead bellowing mindlessly about spending and debt and trying to take PPACA apart. Same losers, same hopelessly stupid sorts of ideas, just the different name. Libertarians. Austrians yet. What a fucking crock. It's all fucking ignorant ASSHOLES all the time.

Beaners, chinks, and towelheads ruined this area. They've turned it into a huge stopped up toilet.

They isolate themselves and create problems, a few observations:

1. Beaners refuse to take care of their property, yards look like shit, trash, and they have loitering issues. They also refuse to learn English or attempt to communicate properly. Also, most are thieves.

2. Chinks also don't take care of their property. They only care about themselves and trying to hookup their other chink friends. Unless your in with the chink clique, they don't believe in equality. Most are also rude.

3. Towelheads (to include Indians) are disgusting. They lie so well, that they believe their lies are the truth. They also don't take care of their property and they overcrowd homes. I've also noticed (Indians specifically) have no respect for your personal space. They hover, they linger, and they spread like a disease.

Of course, there are a few rare exceptions to the above, and I'm not saying whites or blacks are any better. We have our issues as well. But, the above list of 3 groups are certainly not here for the American dream, they are here for the Indian/Chinese/Mexico dream and are either trying to transform this country into the shithole they left or ship the money out to their families in less forunate situations overseas.

The same as now except for more assholes.

You'd have to go back to the 50's and 60's to notice any difference.

IMO, this area was died (as a nice place to live) about 1970.

I don't find that the 1990s in Fairfax County are much different than it is now.

Except that everything is much more expensive.

My first rental was a decent relatively new 1 bedroom apartment in Centreville. Started at $525.00/month. When I left in 1993 was paying $625.00/month.

Many of the local stores were still around though many of them were on their way out

For example I enjoy buying/welling/trading stereo musical equipment

There were many options

Saxitone
Zavarellas
Capone
Veneman
Mars Music
Rolls
Myer Emco

Now if I want to look at gear in person and not have to deal with a Guitar Center prick I have to travel all the way to Maryland.

Well from inner Arlington, maybe. From McLean, not so much. But if you were say youngish with long hair in 1970, anywhere outside the Beltway was likely to be hostile territory.

And I was born less than 250 miles from here. No, I am not. Rednecks and blue laws were plagues upon the area at the time, and both had to be gotten rid of to make way for progress and prosperity. And unless an FDR underling altered my birth certificate as part of some sinister socialist plot, I have great confidence in knowing where I was born.

Things were more fun back in the 80s and 90s partly because there were more places for teens to drink and hang out. That's probably because there fewer people and far fewer flaming liberals to fuck everything up for everyone.

Al Bundy Syndrome. The people who complain that life for teenagers ain't what it was back in the 90's haven't been teenagers since the 90's. Since they spent all their time back then drinking, blowing dope, and cruising for skanks, they now have jobs, wives, and homes that they hate. Tales of a pissed-away past is all they have left. Enjoy your new life in the real world, losers! It only gets worse from here, and you dorkos will deserve every bit of it.
