Gonna finally talk to my doc about my anxiety
Posted by: Kfjwjfj ()

I’ve never regualrly taken any prescription medication, but in recent years i’ve noticed i’m always anxious about both big and small things. For example, i’ll think I forgot to lock my front door for no reason that just because. The entire day at work i’ll think about it only to come home to find out it’s locked. Anyone ever been prescribed something for something similar?

You dont need prescriptions for forgetting whether or not you locked your door.

Buy a smarthome Lock where you can Open/close doors from your cellphone or The internet.

What else makes you anxious?

Don't do it I've been on everything namely effexor the longest above all other drugs and they do nothing but mask the underlying issues. When you're ready to come off these drugs it's fucking hell. Meditation, journaling, an exercise are your Best bets. Best of luck to you.

Those drugs made me a dullard.

I am much more interesting on booze.

I’d see a doctor, but doctor appointments cause too much anxiety.

Be very careful about what you convey to others about you feelings of mental illness.

Info is being collected for future use against innocent people.

Nothing wrong with seeking help. In fact I commend you. Anxiety with a caring therapist and maybe some anti-anxiety meds won’t cure but will alleviate symptoms. You’re not alone as anxiety is difficult, but with proper care plan manageable

I come from the ADD generation, and I know I had / have it. I was given Ritalin and my grades soared, I could plan out my future effectively, and was on top of everything.

Took it for one month. The downsides: a different personality (showed almost no emotion because I didn’t feel anything), sleep was an issue, and loss of appetite that led to major stomach aches (because I was starving and didn’t know it).

Basically I think I could have been more successful if I had stayed on it, but I’m doing fine and am happy without it (married, kids, satisfying job).

It’s something to think about - at what cost would you be ridding yourself if anxiety? Americans are very quick to medicate.

Sorry for that last comment, I didn’t mean it.

I am a closeted homosexual and am angry with myself, and my wife knows but she’s addicted to prescription drugs.

A wise person gets help, a foolish person pretends there isn’t an issue.

Good luck!

#1 stop smoking weed. sounds like paranoia not anxiety

#2 sounds like obsession and lowered mental state, not anxiety

an anxious person may have a high or low mental state and it has zero to do with worrying or obsessions

temporary anxiety can be cause by blood poisoning, inhaling paint fumes causes life long incurable anxiety

THERE IS NO TREATMENT, smoking is just as healthy as any medication yet released. call 1800 bad drugs: they call kill

Don't succumb to the PharmaJew. BigPharma wants you medicated and drunk.

Seek alternatives.
