URGENT: Need Info on Filmdex

Drove by the Filmdex property on US 29 in Centreville and noted that the large FILMDEX letters were gone. I don't recall any prior postings or email traffic on this. Please advice on status, including addressing any comments/concerns. Thanks.

How could this issue possibly be urgent? If you are (were) and employee there or had a financial interest of some kind then you should have better contact info than posting anonymously on some Internet forum.

Have you guys ever considered that maybe we scared ol' Filmdex, and maybe they felt they they had to move to be left alone? So maybe we should do just that... leave them be.

Leave them be to do their work... the work of processing adult films created on-site by the CIA.

I wanted to buy the place and turn it into my own house of 1000 corpses.

but it costs too much.

The Koreans bought it. It's going to be the new "Rucky World West".

One cold snowy night in 1979 I spent the night at the motel that later became filmdex. My 72 Ford Maverick left me on the side of the road not far from there. I was on my way home from a backpacking trip in shenandoah national park. I was glad I had my sleeping bag with me because the bed linnens were nasty. During the night the phone in my room rang but when I answered it there was NOONE there!

The place is clearly haunted.

Was that Old Bull Rull Grille green in color - or, something like that? It's right after the quarry on the left side of Rt 29, when heading towards the Battlefield, correct?

I remember driving out on Rt 29 about 22-23 years ago and seeing that place. It was open at the time. I'm not sure how much longer after that it remained open, though. It looked as though it was going to fall down at the time. I guess when a rainstorm would come though, they'd just put the buckets out to collect the rainwater falling through the ceiling.

At the time, I was a young married man and live in Fairfax. Now, being older if that place was still open and Rt. 29 was all backed up in the P.M. rush hour, I'd spend a few hours at that place, until the traffic died down.

Black Adam, I think I might know who you are. I once had a conversation with a guy that I've worked with - and, he claims that his grandfather used to take him out there.

Don't worry, I won't call you out or anything. Did you ever remember having a discussion about the Bull Run Grille with a co-worker within the past 2 years?

;-)

Some friends of mine stole the Filmdex letters and put them in a friend's front yard as a joke. Some teenagers go there at night when they're bored because it's so creepy. Not to drink or anything, just to have fun. But the letters are now in the bedrooms (and probably hidden from parents, under beds) of several neighborhood teens.
