How is HD radio in this area?

I was thinking of getting an HD radio tuner. Is there anything worth listening to on the HD radio channels around here?

Don't bother reception can be real shitty and the variety of extra channels in this area ain't that good. Waste of money just get satellite instead

HD radio sucks, it is so bad, bunch of crap, bad reception, and it's terrible for channel surfing because of the lag. I'm a little behind the times on this because I never had an HD tuner before. I knew there wouldn't be much so I;m not shocked but I am surprised. Not so bad that I'm paying for satellite, Howard Stern did not age well.

Yep. And it is also generating interference with standard AM and FM reception.

Terrestrial radio in the US has been slowly dying for more than 25 years and 5G will put the final nail in the coffin.

HD radio reception is so-so around this area, but the music on the basic stations sucks. There are no oldies stations unless you like "classic rock." The music mix on the local 80's station sucks too. Not all of us care for the dreck sung by Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, etc. ad nauseam.

I think the new radio in my vehicle has HD. But I have XM so I haven't really tried it. Let me get back to you.
