GOP members in House overwhelming vote for bill to pay idled federal workers during shutdown. Only 6 democrats vote 'aye' and bill goes down to defeat.
This bill only had one item, pass CR appropriations to allow furloughed feds and feds working but not being paid to receive their paychecks. The democrats killed it. WTF?

They were bringing the old bill up again but stripped out all appropriations except the pay for the furloughed workers or the essential workers who aren't getting paid. The democrats shot it down.
