2 dead in murder/suicide by SUV/gun in Falls Church

FALLS CHURCH, Va. - UPDATE:
The two people have been identified. Christopher Brooks, 30, and Katherine Martell, also 30, were found dead after a delivery driver reported the shooting at 11:37 a.m. today.

Brooks and Martell had a child together, who was not at the scene and is safe with a family member, the Fairfax County detectives said.

Autopsies will be conducted to find official cause of death, police are unsure if the SUV impact killed Martell or if it was the gunshot.

Two people are dead after a shooting in Falls Church, Va. on 3100 South Manchester Street, Fairfax County Police Department have confirmed.

Police are investigating the incident as a murder-suicide. They say around 11 this morning, a man drove a white SUV into a woman. He then jumped out of the SUV and shot her, before shooting himself. They were pronounced dead on the scene. Police do not yet know the identities or relationship between the two.

The investigation is ongoing, this story will be updated.

If this Katherine Martell is the same as the latina lawyer from Fairfax, she was pretty gorgeous. Tragedy for everyone, especially the kid.

Woodlake Towers condominiums. Really close to Arlington and City of Falls Church but in Fairfax County. Large immigrant community in Woodlake.

Woodlake Towers sits right between the Glencarlyn neighborhood and Seven Corners; this is the south side of Route 50.

It's definitely "Falls Church" (in Fairfax) but some people think City Of Falls Church when you say that. The Fairfax County part of Falls Church is very large.

Yes, there are lots of immigrants in Falls Church.

Post pics of the woman so we can determine if this is a tragedy or not.

Also need followup on what killed her, so we know whether to ban SUV's or guns.
