Let's blame the democrats who vote for Bulova.

Now we can sit back and watch our taxes go up.

Just wait 'til Moon takes over the Braddock District...

Was Bulova a democrat? I didn't even see the D as I voted for her. I just know the watches and they are always ON TIME.

This area is the last region in the country that will feel the pain of the recession. When it does, and Fairfax tax payers will hit a breaking point, Bulova may have trouble finding a place to hide.

Vince, Taxes are on EVERYONE's mind. Bulova has promised to raise them with nothing to show for it.

Taxes aren't on my mind. I have no problem paying more if it means fixing the problems the Republicans left behind and restoring the goodwill of or country. As far as I'm concerned, the GOP had their chance and blew it.

The only thing Republicans can lead is a prayer service.

Fairfax has been run by Democrats for a decade!

Tax cuts have been implemented for the last 8 years and have not forestalled the latest recession nor can they restore non existent profits for businesses. Tax cuts are NOT the solution.

Looks like the Democrats like raising taxes, but don't like paying taxes.

Well, thank God the Republicans weren't behind the wheel because we'd be in a quagmire.

So long as Fairfax remains a metropolitan area, it will always be Democrat. If you don't like it, there always Roanoke for ya.

No, there's the next election. That Bulova only won by 1200 votes sends a message that Fairfax is returning to Purple.

Hahha, you're right, $650M isn't a quagmire at all.

"The only thing Republicans can lead is a prayer service."

At least they can choose someone to lead a prayer that won't embarrass and alienate the whole country like that joke of a benediction by Lowry at the coronation.

Clearly, you have no sense of humor. The part that Republicans criticize was meant to be tongue-in-cheek and not c0ck-in-cheek as you prefer.

"Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get [in] back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. Let all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen!"

Junes..get real..the word is that the republikan hate message isnt working anymore. The close election was once again a repudiation of the republikan agenda on education...reproductive rights...and false claims about tax increases. I knew Herrity's campaign was lost when he statrted aligning himself with the likes of Cucinnelli. I cant wait to vote against that republikan in the next general election..he even looks like Richard Nixon after 4pm...all greasy and full of hateful rage....does that come close to describing you?

education...reproductive rights...and false claims about tax increases

moreso the second item of the three since herrity touched on reproductive rights a grand total of ZERO times in his campaign, but seriously, what in education and tax increases did he possibly say that was the republican agenda that lost him the election?

The only thing that lost him the election was the low turnout in the Sully District.

If by purple, you mean Prince and the New Revolution, then I can understand your repressed feelings. You are Republican after all.

Herrity pulled a lot of votes because of his name and the history of his father's service AND because he supports renovating the older schools and NOT buying the taj mahal of Gatehouse 2.

Reproductive rights are a moot point, what can a chairman of a county board accomplish with that issue? Not much.

He's a republikan..who supports the rebulikan agenda..and a County Chairman could certainly make it difficult for an abortion clinic to set up anywhere in the county. He/she can probaly do more then most on that issue.
