I believe what the OP is trying to say, and she can chime in if I am wrong, is that the pervasive persistent petulant nature of being married to a biological female that menstruates can harm an LGBT-Q or any other non conservative relationship. Having said that it takes time for partners to adjust to changing roles as his or her or its partner transitions from say a projecting male with feminine qualities ( similar to someone like Barack Hussain Obama ), and of course projecting testosterone while pretending to be a biological female - say his wife for example.
There is much to learn and yet it is entirely possible the OP meant something unrelated to my theory.

I met this recently widowed woman in her mid 60's.
