Wheile/reston parkway motorcycle accident

Ugh really nasty accident involving a moped or a motorcycle was on reston parkway around 3 or 4. The bike was burning under the suv that struck it while the rider was motionless in the lane next to it. There were 20 cars all parked in the intersection making 911 calls. But really i just want to know if this kid pulled through.

Funny? Odd....

I drove threw that intersection twice between that time frame today and saw nothing of that nature.

No two wheel vechicle, no flames, did not have to steer out of the way of a motionless object in the road, and certainly no mass amount of cars parked in the intersection with drivers on the phone.

Pics, an article, a link, some form of proof or GTFO !!!!!!!!!!

I know the kid that got hit. It happened because I walked through the accident an hour later. It was horrible and tragic. they cut off almost every entrance into the intersection and they had helicopters everywhere.

That "kid" really did have an accident and he is fighting for his life. At this point it does not matter the fault to those who love and know the "kid" - we just want him to live and to be able to be part of our lives.

People should be praying for his life to be saved and for his family as they are suffering and agonizing over him.

There was one on Thursday afternoon near that intersection involving a van and an SUV. They're eventually going to make the left turn lanes turn red before the opposing traffic gets the green light. A few careless and stupid drivers ruin it for everyon, but this intersection is going to be heavily trafficked by buses and vanpools if they ever open the Wiehle metro.

You have to be careful turning at intersections with all the people who speed up to go thru intersections as if the light is going to immediately change to red. SUV had the right-of-way.

The boy that you all seem to want to troll and be mean about has passed away. Can you all take your nonsense elsewhere now and allow the rest of us a chance to mourn our friend?

You hear about these accidents all the time where a "rider" turns left in front of oncoming vehicles. Very common.

Hopefully someone locks up this kid's idiot parents.

I see a lot of young uns (16-22) on motorbike/moped/scooter riding on the secondary highways like 7100 and 606. They seem to think the rest of the cars are supposed to be able to see them and keep to a slow pace (30-35 mph) so they can ride in the left lane. Is it the high price of gasoline? You can barely see them in front of other cars.

Sad to say, this kid did not survive the accident. He was a student at Herndon High. It's a very sad and unfortunate situation. Praying for the family.

Considering the extent of the injuries, it was probably the most merciful ending.

Too true, people stay whipping out in front of other vehicles and even running against yield signs, red lights, and stop signs. I'm surprised more people don't die everyday from the sort of stupidity which motorists inflict upon one another, and far too often it's the innocent bystanders harmed or killed as opposed to the culprits.
