Another good shirt would be "BOYCOTT THE BOOT". Both shirts should be red with yellow block script and have assorted fire fighting emblems and paraphernalia...like you would see on a shirt legitimately trying to support fire fighters as sold at Cracker Barrel and other stores of the knuckle-dragging, mouth breathing blue collar mopes...

What about a shirt that says, "Find 'em hot, leave 'em wet!" and a picture of Mittendorf's naked corpse?

I would prefer that we make shirts that read:

"Hold the author accountable, do not destroy the chalkboard"

or

"No Deflection Zone"



I do not agree with "BOYCOTT THE BOOT", as we do not need to punish the MDA for others failures. Also, I have nothing but respect for any "collar" worker, as each is doing what they can to get by in life.

Looks like we need a new fire chief. Bowers is probably one of those bitches that would like to make flag burning illegal. He has gone on the news and admitted that he hates America and the 1st amendment.

It makes me want to puke watching this Bowers guy try and trash peoples rights after so many of our fighting men and women have died protecting them. After all that he blames someone else for his incompetence. This guy needs to be fired!

This Bowers guy has clearly lost control of his fire department. Bowers practically killed this poor firefighter girl himself. Going on TV interviews and trying to blame our freedom of speech rights for HIS failures as a leader really makes me hate this guy. How can anyone be so ignorant? He should go ahead and retire now as he can never be taken seriously again.

Instead of trampling on our rights, Chief Bowers ought to figure out how to hand out smoke detectors that actually work.

I got one when the FD came through my building. Well guess what 2 months later Code Enforcement (bribe takers) came through to see if people had installed them.

Mine was flaky, had been from the start, had called the FD and they just said come get another. The Code people wrote me up. I went to the FD and got another, also flaky.

The Code people came back and threatened to take me to court. So I went and bought one at Home Depot. Fairfax is wasting money on these detectors and it is just wrong to hassle people who have installed what the FD has told them to install.

Agree that that the FD needs to get its own house in order and that might just include knocking off whatever funny business they are up to with the bribe takers at Code Enforcement. This is getting to be like Chicago or something.

You're complaining because the FREE smoke detectors you were GIVEN for your slum dwelling were defective? You were then GIVEN more FREE smoke detectors and you're mad about that?

Unless Fairfax County manufactured them with volunteer labor and donated materials, they were not free. Tax money paid for them. FCPD is obviously spending too much time harassing people and not enough time selecting vendors properly.

Where is scumbag Bowers now? Hopefully he is moving out of the area. He should be in prison.
