LAWN weeds in NoVa

not the kind you smoke -- settle down.

does anybody know of a good website for identifying the various kinds of weeds in NoVa? My lawn looks like hell and I want to identify what all I'm dealing with.

Technically they are the native plants of the area, your lawn is the weed to them.

Merrifield garden center take it in to him and then go to homedepot or lowes for what ever they recommend. They are 5 or more bucks more then anywhere else.

yes, i agree completely. also, lawns are a stupid idea, tremendously wasteful in terms of water and energy, and most people handle them by spraying absurd amounts of toxic sludge which all runs off into the storm drains.

however, my HOA doesn't care about any of that.

Spectracide has a weed ID app for iPhone. Most ag universities also publish guide.

I've tried a bunch of chemicals but they kill some weeds then something else grows back. To get a green lawn without weeds you can call one of those companies to come spray toxic shit everywhere or be like the retires and dig them all out by hand with a weed puller. I need to do a better job this year of pulling them when I see them
