salvation army Day Care or Homeless?
Posted by: Worried Dad ()

So On Friday April 11th 2014. I went to pick up my kids from school. I noticed a classmate of my daughter that was getting in the salvation army bus. Does the salvation Army have a Day Care or is she Homeless? I am not sure why they come pick her up in a bus. Why can't they come pick her up in a unmark car so people wouldn't laugh at her?

...perhaps FCPS should give all kids free breakfast, lunch and dinner so no one knows who's on the dole and be laughed at!

If you are so worried call the SA and ask them why a young female would be boarding one their vans. Do it nice, and you will get the answer. Her family is most likely having money issues right now.

After you get the answer to your question, get out your checkbook and make a donation. How well would you hold up under the stress of losing everything?

You are a ass-

Yes, the Salvation Army on 123 near University Mall has an excellent, full price daycare. They pride themselves on having experienced, educated, long-term teachers (at least that was true ten years ago). They probably offer a discount for low-income families, but in my experience most of the kids came from the middle-class and above.

Don't be so judgmental. And please don't pass your 'concerns' on to your children.

Must be this.

If the kid was homeless, she would have boarded a FCPS school bus. They just add a motel/shelter stop to whatever bus goes closest to said motel/shelter.
