Should we still funding libraries? The are used mainly by the homeless. With Kindle why do we still fund them? We could sell the books to bookstores or Amazon and the real estate to developers.$75k for someone to shelve books!with the savings, we could help fund Metro or lower real estate taxes. We could even add fund to Fairfax County schools.

Libraries promote literacy. Of course, we can tell from your post that such a concept is far from your experience.
