He not only raised taxes but he punitively did so, the effect gas tax on rural areas actually went down, ie GOP areas, and the tax went up for liberal areas, ie NOVA. Democrats signed on to it for one reason, because the GOP promised to take up medicaid expansion if they did. If you want to see GOP people shit a brick, ask them to demolish the entire state wide taxation process for vehicles and leave it to local jurisdictions only. I guess their ideology only extends to the point in which they stop getting a free ride on the backs of liberals who have real jobs.

all gov employees are unionized democrats
richmond has gotten an "inner city / NY" stench to it you don't hear a VA accent when you call you hear a DC accent maybe, democrats
