I was by there earlier - they're making great progress. A new roof already in place on top of the old brick walls. Nothing but illegals doing all the renovation work, though. If you were to walk up with a I.C.E. badge and flash it, they'd all scatter and the work would fall 2+ weeks behind on the renovation.

I'm all for the touch screen ordering system. I don't need to interface with a human because all the local fast food workers can't understand English anyway and always mess the order up. You can spruce up the building and improve the ordering process, but in the end, you'll still have a crappy tasting hamburger. Blech!

The McD app has had advance ordering for 6 months now. Fuck that human interaction bullshit...

The entry door is on the second floor. Where is the ladder to climb up to reach the second tier?

I tragically frequent a recently renovated McDonald's once a week for breakfast. Still have the cashiers. They just hover around the kiosks constantly asking if you need help, and there are still the geezers that get all bent out of shape and insist on ordering at the counter.

That's a different elevation / view of the building. It won't have a 2nd floor. The top one is the front view and the lower one is the side view of the building.

You wait in line to use the machine because the one person at
the counter will not take orders --they say use the machine.
After using the touch screen, then you have to get back in
the VERY LONG line to pay the human at the register.
Then they start making the food.
When you finally get it, the order is wrong anyway (missing item etc.)

That's been my experience the last 10 times I've walked into a McD's
at four different locations around the area. Now I never go inside,
I just use the drive-thru. It can take 12 minutes to drive-thru,
but that it still better than the 12-30-fucking-minutes it takes
if you use the screen inside.

(I had hoped it was going to speed things up, too, but it is a clusterfuck,)

Burger King has them beat on that front then. I just go in, peck what I want on the screen, an0d swipe my card. I don't have to speak to a drone until my food is ready.

I drive by at least six McDonald's on my commute. They have been doing them one at a time, shifting staff from the one being rebuilt to other locations, then bringing them back in time to reopen. They have this shit down to a science by now. Each one is rebuilt faster than the previous one.

It is better to order Big Macs without sauce and cheese, and remove the bun before you consume it.

I got 2 big mac's today. They are on the pic2 menu now. 2 big mac's for 5 dollars plus tax.
