At loooong last, the revamped R1370 is published.
Most notable, perhaps, is that fun runs need to be managed by the school, not school-supporting orgs (like PTA/Os), and funds need to be recorded through the local school activity fund (LSAF). See "Attachment A" in this attachment or at http://www.boarddocs.com/vsba/fairfax/Board.nsf/files/AP8LL3518FBC/$file/R1370%20.pdf

So all that mess at White Oaks? Boosterthon has been gone a long time now but the old PTA prez who was in bed with Boosterthon WORKS THERE! Smells like shit.

Yes they do, they have expenses to cover and they need to make a profit to stay in business. Boosterthon is a great deal all the way around.

They are approaching the point of not being able to read at an 8th grade level so cursive does not mean that much in the broader scheme of things.

Last spring, Poplar Tree ES polled their members: no-fuss or Boosterthon?
Within a week, they had their answer: 40% Boosterthon, 60% no-fuss.
A couple years before, the same school used no-fuss to reach their financial goal without Boosterthon. Their FB post:
